| I am virtually alive! At least, my computer is. After weeks of moaning, sighing, and contemplating endlessly on whether I should or not put Vincent to sleep (that's its name. First name Ashley, last name Vincent) I finally decided that it was time. Today I ransacked the Maekawa Hole for a Windows start-up disk and started fiddling with the F keys.
"Umm, what happen if I press this?"
BEEP!
"Oh, fuck. Fuckity fuck...FUCK!"
The boy chimed in, "Uh, I think you killed it."
I was in despair and denial. "NO!" I screamed. I could feel my blood pressure rising and the tension (dagnabbit, I swear that tension on my neck was ready to burst an artery or two) was keeping me edgy.
After a glass of cold milk, two dozens of cookies, and a roll of tissue paper, Vincent was finally re-formatted. It's running fine, and well, fast for once. I am so glad I did not hurl its monitor out of the window.
This means that I can go back on writing. This means that I'll get no more "Umm, not to be rude, but are you alive and breathing? 'Cuz if you are, do you mind updating [insert story] here?"
Fear not, Vincent is as healthy as a newborn now! You'll get your latest kissy kissy scene. ♥
And for other online buddies, a bright hello and a cheerful "What's up?"

| So... here I am again, at the crossroads. I have just finished fifty-one episodes of Full Metal Alchemist. Let me tell you that it wasn't easy to swallow the whole thing. I gasped, I blanched, and I winced at what the beautiful, superbly animated story told me. It is simply one anime that will haunt me for a long time. Oh, yes. The crossroads. Should I try to dabble in FMA fanfiction? Or should I just let it be, pretending that I'm fully satisfied with the ending?
It's one thing to be content, and I'm very good at being content, and it's another thing to be yearning for the smallest change. I'm lazy, I admit, and writing takes a lot from me. My eyes are not what they used to be and spending time in front of the monitor just worsened them further. But! This, a feeling I'm unable to name, began to rise after I watched the end of FMA. I need to write about Edward, about Alphonse, about the irreplaceable sadness that THAT song conveyed.
I realize that it's a much bigger thing than any of fanfiction than I've ever attempted. Simply because the theme is much more complex. Do I have the capacity to write about those emotions? Will I be able to understand and churn them out? I'm afraid that I am not mature enough to write for FMA. Yet, I yearn. And I doubt.
The least I can do is to write what I feel in this journal. Maybe it'll be the closest thing to FMA related subject that I will ever write.
As I thought, I still have a lot of growing up to do. Life, as it is, does not a fair mistress make. There is a price I must pay to gain something, and maybe the time to pay that price has come. I hope it's a fair deal.
